Game Day

Last weekend we went to the USU game! Dana's friend Robbie plays for Southern Utah University, and they happened to play USU this last weekend so he got us tickets to watch them play. It was really exciting to see Kailani at her first football game, she behaved pretty good for having to sit there for 3 hours and having teething pains.
Anyway it was a really good game I even ended up getting into it, I thought we would get into an altercation if we wore Red at the Aggies stadium so I played it safe and wore a neutral color! Those Aggies fans sure are something else, and unfortunately they ended up winning the game in the end!

On a side note, Kailani is definately getting her first tooth, it's no wonder she was so whinny all week. I can already see the tooth peeking out ( how stinken cute)- I also had a random thought about this whole tooth thing--- I was wondering why doesn't it hurt babies gums when they only have one tooth? Interesting question right? Anyway good nite!

Random California Trip

Last Thursday I was talking to my sister saying it would be awesome if I could somehow make it to the twins' birthday party, which was that Sunday! I thought there was just no way, but I called my cousin who is a truck driver and he happened to be in Salt Lake so I made a couple of phone calls and just like that I was on my way to California! It felt so surreal, and random, although I was a little nervous with Kailani and it being a longer ride than in a car. Anyway we got there safe on Friday and met up with my sister and off we were to Hemet where she lives. I can't believe how big the kids got in just 2 months, Nathaniel loves Kailani and she also gets excited when she sees's him, I think they understand each others baby language! lol
It's funny to see how the kids interact and play together. Friday night, we also got to hang out with Dana's family for a little bit, and unfortunately Kailani was being quite the brat, she didn't want anyone else to hold her but me or her auntie Cindy, I don't know what her deal was! But we still had such a good time hanging out and talking.

Saturday morning we went out to Newport Beach, where it was so fun to see how Gianna loves the water, she's such an adventurer and all she wanted to do is be in the water, she even tried to go all by herself in the ocean! Nathaniel on the other hand rather hangout on the beach playing with the sand and his toys. It was hilarious to see Gianna covered in sand and eating every thing with sand, those kids are so stinken funny!
Oh did  I mention I got to have Jack in the Box! Yum I love their 2/$1 tacos and curly fries.
And I got lots of good pictures of the kids at the beach apparently!

That day we also were able to spend more time with Dana's family and have dinner, I can say I enjoy all of grandpa Chuck and Grandpa Gigi's stories! The time totally flies by when you are having fun! But for some reason I didn't really get any pics of us at the house.

Sunday we had fun at the kids birthday party, it was so funny to see Nathaniel stick his hand in the cake, and Gianna opening her gifts, shes so smart, and I think she likes to be the life of the party because she sure knows how to make people laugh! Anyway the rest of the time I was there I just hung out with the kids and my sister, its so nice to spend time with them whenever I can since I'm so far! I also got to go out to dinner with my sister in law Cindy, I sometimes wish we lived a lot closer! I can't wait for Baby Cindy or Seth to join the family in March!!!

The Big 2-4

My birthday was on Friday and we decided to celebrate by going out to dinner in Ogden. The original plan was that we would go to Friday's, but we decided to go to Famous Dave's BBQ, which was a little weird, because it was kinda empty when we got there, but the food was delish! And I'm so happy that we all got to go and hang out (thank goodness for a wonderful family.) Anyway so other than that on Friday, I just got gifts from the parents, oh and the realization that I'm only getting older! ugh

So apparently, the new thing is a Birthday weekend, so we kept celebrating Saturday by watching our favorite College Football team USC play against Ohio, and we are so happy they USC ended up winning after Ohio thought they had it in the bag!
Anyway as most of you know my parents are at the restaurant everyday Mon-Sat, so we got to celebrate my birthday on Sunday, at my parent house. My brother and parents were so nice to have put together some food, and cake, and it was all so yummy. Unfortunately, Dana had to come home and study so he was gone after about an hour, but we still had fun playing Guitar Hero 5 with my brother, and watching Kailani get her self up and try walking! I know I always talk about her, but she basically is my world now, and everyday she does something new! Anyway thanks to everyone who made my birthday a blast!

Here's Kailani enjoying my birthday ice cream!
I just really liked this outfit above and took lots of pictures of her!
And these are just random pictures of kailani I've taken

Growth Spurt & More

This past week has been so exciting for Kailani, she finally learned that she needs to crawl forward and not backwards! It's the cutest thing, to see her try to get around and grab for everything. She also says dada and mom even though she doesn't know she does it she totally says it! She has grown up so fast, and I don't know where time went. I remember when she was born and now she's already 6 months HOLY COW!

Thursday, she got to spend time with her new friend Owen, I think she found a new play date! It was totally cute to watch them interact with each other and laugh. It's so nice to have her play with another baby, Owen is 8 months old so it works out so good since they are only 2 months apart.

She also showed her funny side this week, when I was bathing her. She totally had her head down the whole time and she finally looked up and had a soap unibrow, it made it that much more funny when she sat there and laughed about it!
This week has been such a fun week to watch Kailani grow. I hope that this process slows down a little bit, so I can enjoy her new growth spurt!
On another note, Dana and I also have had some time to enjoy each other's company before he has to start school full time on Monday and work Full time! I know I don't express this enough but, I am so blessed to have such a hard working husband and provider for our family! Sometimes we confuse things we Need with things we Want, and I'm thankful to have Dana remind me of that and come back to earth! (lol) We know that everything is never perfect, we're not the Partridge family, we make mistakes, we talk them out and we move on. Our family is Blessed with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and we know that no matter what we will be an eternal Family!

Summer Vacation

That's right! We finally got our vacation time in for Summer and we had such a good time in California visiting our family! It was so nice because this time we had a whole week and didn't have to worry about rushing back home. So our first stop was Cedar City, where we watched Dana's buddy Robbie in his scrimmage for SUUDaddy's twin!

Luckily we were able to leave early enough on Saturday to make it to Kailani's blessing on Sunday. We were so greatful to have Dana's dad conduct the blessing and have all of our family present.

even my sister & Gianna

Most of the time we spent in California was spent visiting family so Kailani got to meet her Great Grandma from my dad's side on Tuesday, and she was so excited to see how big Kailani was and how she already is so anxious to crawl.

We also got a chance to go to the Angels game with Cindy, Seth, my sister, her husband and kids.

Kailani also got to spend time with her twin cousins and Great Grandpa in LA. I think she loved her grandpa because he reminded her of her Papa here in Logan. She cuddled up with him and kept smiling the whole time.

One of the main things you always have to do in California is go to the beach, which was a perfect ending to a nice vacation.
here's Kailani with her Grandpa Chuck, she finally got used to the mustache I think!
here we are with our niece and nephews
LOL

Visiting Dana's grandparents the Gigi's. It's always fun listening to grandpas stories.
Our last stop going home was visiting my grandma's grave, I'm so glad we stopped by because we at least got pictures of Kailani next to her Great grandma's memorial

After a great week in California, I am so greatful for Seth and Cindy & Maggie and John Ray for allowing us stay at their place and spent whatever time they could with us! We also are greatful to come back to Logan where the weather cooled off in the week we were gone, crazy how cool it got after just one week, or maybe its just that we have been so warm in So Cal!
