Kailani update

This week Kailani turned 4 months, which means I can officially start feeding her baby food and not to mention she's discovered she has a voice!
I am so glad that she can now have baby food because formula is so darn expensive. Anyway the first night I gave her peaches and I think she liked it, but her tummy wasn't feeling it at all because she couldn't sleep and was crying the whole night; she even got me crying because I didn't know what was wrong or how to fix it. Anyway so friday we tried bananas, and she loved them - ever since then that's all she wants to eat, oh and yesterday we had breakfast at grandma's house where she had her first strawberries! I think she liked them since she couldn't get enough of them, it's really funny watching her suck on the strawberry and be done with it in like 30 seconds! I've got to say I think she has a thing for sweets just like her mommy and daddy.
1st day eating Peaches

*What an amazing weekend*

This past weekend was simply amazing, fun, and such a blessing!

First off we started off by having my baptism on Saturday, and I have to say it was great amazing! Everyone kept asking me if I was nervous but it kinda felt natural to me.

Anyway, some of our family came in from California to witness the beginning of a great life ahead, and of course some of my family was there as well. The service was really quite an experience I got all of Dana's brothers & sis in law's to participate and I can't ever thank them enough for that!
To begin Cindy (my sis in law) did the opening prayer and set the tone for the rest of the baptism, I really felt the spirit that was there and I know I didn't tell anyone this but with her words she reassured me that this was the right thing to do (thanks Cindy!) After Cindy, Seth went up and talked about baptism and he did such a great job, I think it must have been the missionary in him. We then went onto the baptism part which was the most amazing part of the day, we were lucky enough to have Dana conduct the baptism and even though he was so nervous he totally didn't show it and he did so good. I can't express how happy I am that he was able to do that, it is just such a blessing.

Finally, Chuck was the one who conducted the confirmation, he did such a good job, I really wasn't expecting all of the wonderful words that were spoken not only from him, but from everyone that day! You guys are simply the best there is!

On Sunday we were able to go to sacrament and then hang out at Bear Lake. The funny thing is I had read that there might be afternoon thunderstorms but regardless Dana still wanted to go. So the whole way there it was bright and shiny until we got to the actual beach and it started coming down. Luckily Kailani and I were able to sit it out in the car and after about 30 min it was better weather. So we were able to have a bon fire and bbq carne asada(yum), and goof around a little bit.

On Monday we were supposed to go to Park City but since it was cloudy we just decided to go down to Ogden to a little amusement park where we did Wall Climbing, Go cars, Laser tagging and Miniature golfing. It was so much, except that I realized I'm afraid of heights so I wasn't able to get all the way up with Wall Climbing. Not to mention Kailani was such a good baby the whole time and allowed mommy and daddy to have some fun.

Here's Kailani sitting up by herself on the carousel!

haha I love this picture!

I also forgot to mention that Austin (Dana's cousin) and his wife also came up to visit, and I have to say Amanda is hilarious! Overall, we had a great weekend and we had so much fun!

headbands & hair clips!!!

I've been trying to get time to do all of the headbands to start selling and today I finally made some extra time! With Kailani falling asleep at 8:30 lately I had some time to really play with different styles and I have to say its actually kinda relaxing after a long day! Anyway here is what I came up with, hopefully I will continue making more and post an etsy page.

These first ones I actually made for my niece a while ago...

And these are the ones I just made tonight!

Same bow different headbands...

The last two (blue & red) are some of my favorite!
