some thoughts...

Lately I feel like I've had so much going on. We've had the missionaries over at least twice a week, I've had to help my dad with restaurant stuff and in between I've had to take care of the baby and taking care of house stuff and bills.

Overall, the experiences and lessons with the missionaries have all been positive, I love that we're going to church and that Dana and my relationship is so much better. I always said that if we got into it that I wouldn't have a problem with going to church, but now I'm having a tough time with transitioning from my church that I grew up in and the LDS church. I guess a lot that they have taught me has really been a refresher, I love that many of the teachings are what I already know. So the missionaries asked me if I would be willing to be baptized this next weekend, I had said yes because I felt a little pressured, but I thought about it and prayed about it and I don't think I am ready solely because I still believe in my own church and it's hard for me to let go of that & believe in a new religion that was founded by Joseph Smith. But at the same time I really want my family to work and we all know it doesn't work if we go to two different churches, and I'm totally willing to do anything for our little family....
Anyway just pray that I make the decision in due time!

For now here are some pictures of Kailani of course, she totally smiles all the time now and her personality is really coming out!

It's Spring

Spring is here! Hopefully... this whole weekend we finally warmed up and the weather was amazing, I just had to be outside to enjoy the weather, so me & Dana went for a drive & also went to the park! It was really fun, we ended up taking Roxy our bulldog with us & she loved running around & jumping in the water. We were so surprised that she was ok with running up this huge hill, I thought she was gonna die since she's a little on the chunky side, but I think she's more muscle now! Anyway I also got some cute pics of Kailani, she finally started smiling all the time & cooing, its so cute! Anyway here are some pics... I couldn't decide which to post so I went a little overboard....sorry

Easter

So this year Easter was a little different only because I'm used to going to church & usually there is some sort of play going on, but since we are now trying to get back into the LDS chuch it was sorta different since there was no play but there was a lesson in Sunday school about the ressurrection of Christ which was really good. I'm really glad that Dana is taking this seriously & that I am getting to learn a lot more of what I already believe in a church that we can both agree on. I've got to admit I've never really had an opened mind about the Church so it's been hard for us to go to church in the past, but because I am opening up now I realize that we have many of the same beliefs and I'm glad that we made the decision to start going.
Anyway after church we got ready to go over to my parents house for dinner & when we got there dinner was not ready :( I was so hungry since I hadn't eaten all day, but I guess it gave us time to take some easter pics. Overall, we had a great Sunday & dinner -- eventually!

kids will be kids

So yesterday we woke up to like 6 in of snow on the ground and the snow just kept coming down it was crazy! Not to mention we were having Sydney's baby shower in the afternoon & we were all worried that no one would show up, but luckily it turned out ok. Anyway I sorta fell in love with egg rolls my mom bought at Sam's - oh my gosh they were so good they were mini so I ate like 10! lol Anyway so we opened gifts and all the good stuff, then everyone left & just my family was left in the living room to clean up & talk. Well little did we know while we were having a great conversation Jr & Evan decided they were hungry & were quietly eating chips in the family room, and those sneaky kids decided to drop the chips all over the carpet... oh my gosh it was the funniest thing yet since I just got done telling them how Jr had gotten to my diaper genie the other day & yanked out all of the bags from it! Anyway I thought it was so funny since grandma & grandpa let those kids get away with murder.

Meeting the Teague's

This past week Dana's part of our family finally got to meet Kailani! It was awesome to have everyone over at our house & hanging out.
We had an awesome time even though we didn't do too much because of the weather! It was so yucky between rain and snow we couldn't do anything outside. We did go bowling saturday & tuesday but that was about it. Kailani also got to meet her great grandma! It's amazing to have the chance to spend time with her and take pictures - grandma Jean was more alert than usual and she was able to hold the baby, she liked her so much she didn't want to give her back, it was too cute. Anyway so besides that all we did was play guitar hero & the guys worked on our basement - which I am so greatful for because even though we weren't in a hurry to get it done it was nice to be able to get a lot of the dry wall up! now I can't wait for it to be done. Overall we had such a good time & we are so greatful to have such a wonderful family all around.

Kailani Update

The past 11 days have gone something like this...
For beginners Kailani is doing great, the first 2 days at home she had to be put under the light because her jaundice count went up from when she left the hospital & oh my goodness it was crazy! She had to be on it around the clock the whole weekend so at night it was like sleeping with the lights on, thankfully it worked and it went down by monday & the dr took her off the lights. Dana was especially thankful for that since he hates watching tv or sleeping with the lights on, but she's totally worth it!
Anyway she's actually a pretty good baby, she wakes up 2 times a night & when she's in a good mood she usually eats & goes back to sleep - although sometimes she makes me stay up for an hour or two, oh well I can't complain at least she's healthy right? Oh the other night I accidently fell asleep with her in my arms & since i didn't want to get up when I realized it I put her next to me on her bobby pillow, well Dana wakes up at like 7:30 am and can feel something pushing his back-- you guessed it! she had managed to roll off the pillow and was right behind Dana, thankfully he realized it before he rolled on top of her; gosh I felt so bad, like I was a bad mommy I almost cried! Anyway so she's ultimately doing good and always has something new for me to learn, I especially love it when daddy talks to her while she's sleeping and she smiles or makes funny faces, I think she already knows her daddy is a silly boy!
